Galion Public Library Event

Tue, Nov 25th, 6-8pm, Escaping Plot Traps Write-In:

National Novel Writing Month

NaNoWriMo is the challenge of writing a 50,000 word novel in only 30 days. The library is offering quiet space, refreshments, and helpful resources for writers working towards this challenge.
Get to know your fellow writers and start some brainstorming at our Get Prepped Party: local writer Rachel Mendell will share some tips on getting started on that novel and how to pace your word count. Refreshments will be served and each participant will receive a Getting Started Kit.
Then just keep writing. Write-in events will each start in the board room with a 15-minute Mini-Workshop and handouts. Participants can then stay in the board room for a quieter working space, or grab light refreshments and continue discussing the topic in the staff room. At each write-in you will get a ticket to enter into a grand prize drawing at the end of the month. You can also get more tickets by reaching word count goals.
You will be able to discuss your progress and share support with other writers throughout the NaNoWriMo process. Call the library or stop by the main desk to register for NaNoWriMo.
