This has worked out pretty well, particularly for the DEC equipment, e.g., all those VT510 dumb terminals that we used with the old automated system. Finding local buyers for this sort of thing would be hit-and-miss at best, but when we list it in the appropriate section on ebay, the people who are looking for it find it.

So far we have sold three items for over $700 total (plus shipping). Of course, ebay takes a cut of that, but nonetheless, we would not have been likely to get that kind of money out of this hardware locally. (Patrons would ask, Can I take this home and get on the internet with it?, and the answer would be No.)

We still have a number of VT510s sitting around, taking up space. As soon as I find some more shipping boxes, maybe we can get them cleared out of here.
