How to Renew Online

To renew your items online, click on the link on our website that says Catalog. This link takes you into our online library catalog system. The main function of the catalog is to let you look up what materials the library has, but it can also tell you what you have checked out, when it's due back, let you renew online, and so forth. Everything having to do with the checkout of library materials is handled by the catalog system.

Once you're in the library catalog, click the Patron Account link near the top. You'll need your library card number and password to log into your account. (Your card number is printed on the back of your library card. If you do not know your password, stop by the main library desk and we can set it for you.)

Once you are logged into your account, you should see your basic information (name, address, phone number), and from there you can click on Items Out to see what items you have currently checked out. At the bottom of the list there's a link you can click to renew them all.

There are other things you can do as well, once you are logged into your account. For example, you can place hold requests, view your reading history if you've turned that feature on, check to see if you have fines, change your password and other preferences, and so on.

To streamline this process, we're thinking of adding a My Account link from the main website straight to the Patron Account section of the catalog. You would still have to log in with your library card number and password, however.
